Tiffany the Pop singing sensation and former teen icon whose hit track “I Think We’re Alone Now” helped her achieve fame in the 80s, settled in life as a small boutique owner in Nashville. The music industry is tough and took a toll on Tiffany. She still records music while her shop provides a steady income, alleviating stress in an uncertain singer’s career. Tiffany is a realist, with changing styles and her store sells clothes that don’t cost a fortune.
Susan Boyle the Scottish singer belted out “I Dreamed a Dream” on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009 but struggled with fame, and became a betting store manager. The lure of a singing career drew Susan back in and she debuted on “America’s Got Talent” in January 2019, blowing away judges with the Rolling Stones hit “Wild Horses.” We’ll have to see how she fares in the States.

George Foreman the two-time World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic gold medallist suffered his first loss in the ring to Muhammad Ali in ‘The Rumble in the Jungle,’ but a boxing career affects a person’s health, and he became the spokesman for a fat-reducing grill, now known as the George Foreman Grill, selling over 100 million units in 2009, for a successful second career. He has now to a life of religion after selling his company.
Freddie Prinze Jr. captured teen hearts in ‘She’s All That’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. He has switched to cooking after working as a producer and director for WWE (the wildlife one!), and published his own cookbook in 2016. He is co-host of a podcast and co-host of a YouTube channel called ‘Gegghead’ focussing on nerdy stuff.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has followed Freddie Prinze Jr., her husband into the food industry. Foodstirs, the company she founded with two other parents, was inspired by baking to connect with their children but too few products available for kids to explore baking. Foodstirs offers kid-friendly baking kits, recipes, baking equipment, and much more.
Rick Moranis the comic genius, was an in-demand actor of the 80s, all the way up to the 90s, He is famous for his impeccable comedy timing in films like Ghostbusters, Spaceballs and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Despite commercial success, he disappeared from acting after losing his wife to a serious illness, becoming a stay-at-home dad. Moranis had been busy writing while making career adjustments and eyes an acting comeback.

Shirley Temple the sweet singing and iconic dancing child actress got older and struggled for a place in Hollywood as an adult, like other child stars. Temple decided to retire from acting in 1950 and got involved in politics in the 60s and became the honorary US Ambassador to Ghana. While politics is as unstable as acting, Temple thrived in her government work as a second career and her legacy is lasting.
Geena Davis is known for roles as empowered women in superb movies like ‘Thelma & Louise’ and ‘A League of Their Own’. She knows how women are represented in Hollywood and is now an activist, founding the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, in 2006 to promote media gender balance. She’s sponsored research that found that women make up only 17% of crowd-scenes in movies and hosted the ‘Global Symposium on Gender in Media’ as part of the BFI London film festival.
